5-Axis Laser Cutting and Machining Services
Laser Industries utilizes a 4000 watt CO2 5-axis laser cutting work cell to process formed sheet metal parts, rings and tubes. Typical process applications include trimming periphery, adding cut outs, drilling holes and welding on 3-dimensional parts. Programs or laser tool paths are developed from various digital and part media. Programming from 3-D CAD models, digitizing actual part samples, or manually teaching to scribed details allows Laser Industries to create tool paths for your 3-D sheet metal parts.
Sheet metal parts that are hydroformed, drop hammer formed, deep drawn, spun, super plastic formed or stamped are obvious choices for cost effective 5-axis laser cutting.
We specialize 5-axis laser cutting for trimming formed aircraft parts to aerospace laser process specifications. Utilizing a clean laser cutting process; processing with high power, high pressure inert gas assist and high cutting speeds, we can achieve minimum heat affected zones (HAZ). Laser Industries has developed aircraft part processing expertise to meet or exceed laser processing specifications for Goodrich Corp., Boeing and others and holds a NadCap approval for non-conventional machining.
